The Evacuation Day

During our WWII (World War Two) project we had a pretend evacuation day. The evacuation was during WWII which happened in 1939-1945. Millions of children and others, with disabilities, were sent away from Britain to the countryside where they would be looked after by locals.
In our evacuation day our class got dressed up in old fashioned clothes and walked down to the village hall near the school and some of our parents got dressed up too.

In the village hall there were lots of old objects. In there we got billeted which means that we pretended that we were going to stay with the local people. In the hall the old objects were a milk churn and the other objects that was there were: a big horse harness and a chicken.

Hello Nevis and Pony
I am sure you had a fine day, and it's fine to learn some history, we should learn not to do the same bad things.
